WELCOME to the "just a little about me" page!

- I'm "Dionne" [Dee-on], a passionate photographer specializing in PORTRAITS of Families, Children, Couples, HS Seniors and Pets. - And occasionaly, I'll cover a small Wedding, as well.

- To me, natural light is amazing! That's why I prefer to shoot all of my portraits outdoors (not a big fan of cramped studios and artificial light). I also find that my subjects are much more comfortable when not restrained to an enclosed space during such an intimate and personal encounter. - Men especially welcome the outdoor photo-shoot-option as it feels less intimidating. Located in beautiful southwest Missouri (417) there are many gorgeous parks, neat down-town squares and natural settings we'll incorporate in your portraits, so let's let the great Missouri Outdoors serve as your scenic backdrop!

- As for me, I am an "American Girl" who spent most of her life in Germany (26 years that is) - until one day, in 2002, I was 'brainwashed' by a remarkably kind, but goofy guy. So now I have four troublemakers at home: My husband "Andy" whom I admire - and our pups "Yogi, Sammy and little Squirt" (she's a mess!). They are my best buddies and I'm happy they all stick around and bring nothing but joy to my life. We feel at home in our charming little house in the outskirts of Springfield, MO and are surrounded by fun and caring neighbors, we proudly call friends. The opportunity to meet interesting and amazing people during my journey here in the Midwest humbles me. It is truly a pleasure and I've learned to respect, trust and treasure the "Ozark-ians" who are proud to call this unique place their home.

- A few years ago, we decided to turn my passion into a business so "Photos by Dionne" was created. Besides being passionate and excited about each and every photo-session, I welcome new challenges, continue to strive for excellence and have a lot of fun in the process.
